Pelling is one of the best tourist destinations in the state as there are a number of smaller destinations around it such as Uttarey, Varsey, Yuksom, Hee, Bermiok, Kaluk, Rinchenpong, etc.  Pelling is most popular for the view of the Kanchendzonga and surrounding Himalayan ranges, as well as the easy access it provides to tourist spots in the area. It is also known for the suitable take-off point for several high and low altitude treks.

Pelling Tour Operator

As a travel agent, Pelling must be high on your list of priorities as it is one of the most important destinations for Sikkim – Darjeeling sector. There is a couple of points to be remembered while designing a tour of Pelling.

First is that normally you should not start or end a tour from Pelling. This place is about 5 hours journey from Bagdogra / NJP station and the road condition is not the best. The area is also sparsely populated. So if your guest intends to stay their first night at Pelling, it is very likely that they will reach Pelling through bad roads late in the evening or at night. There would be few people on the road to ask direction and your guests might find them in difficulty. The main highway also gets high traffic, especially the Sevok Rongpo stretch of the road. Hence your guests may get stuck in traffic and have difficulty if they have a flight or train to catch. Hence Pelling should always be put in the middle of the itinerary.

We also recommend that do not go out of the way in suggesting a handcrafted sightseeing itinerary of Pelling unless you are familiar with the place. This is especially true in high season. Vehicles are in short supply here and anything unusual is difficult to get a vehicle to cater too.

Last but not the least, in case you have any confusion, contact our expert destination management team of Tripsy who has two decades experience of conducting tours to Pelling and would be glad to help you and your guests with any requirement.
