The Nameri Eco Camp is situated about 45 kilometers from Tezpur and about 1 kilometer from the banks of the Jia-Bhoroli river. It offers the shortest route into the Nameri National Park. The cottages are really nice. There is a seating area outside every cottage. In Nameri eco camp they set a bonfire in the open area. The foods are awesome at the eco-camp.
Try to get up early in the morning and you can enjoy the beauty of nature. The National park is just nearby the eco-camp and you need permission from the forest office to visit the national park. You will be accompanied by a forest guard while you will be visiting the national park who will be guiding you through your visit to Nameri national park.
You can experience a lot of wildlife in Nameri National park including tigers. After crossing the Jia Bhorali river you have to walk a bit to reach the gate of Nameri national park. Nameri is a tiger reserve as well. The place is very beautiful and the jungle is really lush and green.
The National park is spread over an area of 200 square km and the best time to visit this place is November to March. You can see a lot of wildlife in Nameri National park including Tiger, elephant, leopard, Sambhar, Bison. Nameri is a bird sanctuary as well and you can see many species of birds here.
